Here are some reviews for you, I personally love NYX products…some need improvement but they are well worth the price.

NYX Rouge Cream Blush (Natural)- I am so in love with NYX products.  They are so affordable and of very good quality. The blush is soft, creamy, and it stays all day…the color is so beautiful and looks super natural.  Thumbs up for this one  🙂

NYX Jumbo eye pencil in MILK–  This pencil is awesome… it’s creamy, easy to apply , and it is perfect  to make your eye-shadow look brighter by applying it to the lid prior to applying the eye-shadow. Thumbs Up

NYX Concealer Jar- I love NYX but I was not happy with the shades of the concealers:( The product itself is great, it’s full coverage, very creamy and super easy to apply and to blend…To get my shade I have to mix with another NYX shade ….over all it’s a good product…. ThumbsUP

 

NYX Matte Lipstick -Hippie Chic- In love with the shade of the lipstick, the only problem is that it wears off too  fast… I really would love a 24hr lipstick that  lasts from NYX. Thumbs Half Way UP.

NYX Stay Matte but not Flat-Foundation:  😦 (sad face)…I was expecting more from this foundation,  Besides the fact that Cherry Culture sent me the wrong shade, the foundation is not very natural looking, the finish is not smooth and it does not make the skin smooth…feels heavy and like I have tons of makeup on …  Thumbs Down

NYX HD FOUNDATION-  I don’t love the foundation but I like it.  The skin stays smooth and flawless with the right amount of shine. I recommend and would buy it again.. Thumbs Half Way Up .

NYX LIPSTICKS in Harmonica, Sky Pink, and Sash- I like these lipsticks, the colors are very beautiful and sweet, the only negative thing I would have to say, is that, it has got some shimmer in it. When I ordered,  it did not seem to have a shimmer it looked matte… Matte Lipstick is my favorite…but  overall Thumbs Up.

It’s amazing what thoughtful and consistent skin care can do for your appearance. On the flipside, innocent mistakes and a touch of carelessness can easily cause complexion chaos.

1. Picking or Touching Your Face: We’ve all been guilty of this one. You see a pesky blemish and attempt to extract it by popping or squeezing it. This is a huge no-no and can only make matters worse. The best thing to do is to leave it alone and let nature takes its course.

However, if you absolutely cannot stand looking at it or you have a major event to attend and need it gone pronto, apply a spot treatment (preferably one that contains salicylic acid) with a cotton swab or a clean finger and leave it alone. Picking or squeezing pimples can result in scarring and often causes more acne.

In general, try not to touch your face at all unless you are certain your hands are clean. It’s easy to make this mistake unintentionally—resting your chin on your hand or rubbing your eyes. This touching may seem harmless, but the oils and germs from your hands can cause a breakout.

2. Washing Your Face with Bar Soap: Bar soaps are formulated for the body, not the face. The ingredients in bar soap are too harsh and can strip the skin of its natural oils, disrupting the protective moisture barrier and leaving the skin severely dehydrated. Moreover, their use can leave a filmy residue. Instead, stick with a gentle facial cleanser that contains nourishing and soothing ingredients that promote the health of your skin rather than compromise it.

3. Skimping on the Sunscreen: Whether you’re sunbathing in the tropics of Belize or skiing on the slopes of the Colorado Mountains, it is imperative to wear sunscreen all year round, rain or shine, winter or summer. Even on the most gray, gloomy, overcast days, the sun’s rays are still peeking through the clouds. Sun exposure is one of the top causes of premature aging. Even when you’re indoors or inside of a vehicle, solar rays can penetrate through windows. Therefore, make sure to wear a broad spectrum sunscreen with at least a Sun Protection Factor (SPF) of 15.

4. Neglecting to Wash Your Face: If you simply can’t be bothered or you feel legitimately exhausted, the easier (albeit wrong) thing to do is to hit the sack and call it a night. Your skin will suffer the consequences: clogged pores from a combination of old makeup, dead skin cell buildup and possibly an emerging pimple. Not a pretty picture. So the next time you really, really don’t feel like washing your face at night, gather up every ounce of strength you have and do it. Your skin will thank you!

5. Tanning: If you’re not blessed with enviably bronzed skin like Jennifer Lopez, it doesn’t mean you should bake your face and body to achieve a glow. On the bright side, you have two alternatives: opt for a safe sunless tanner or embrace your equally beautiful alabaster complexion. The sun’s cruel rays can cause premature wrinkling, brown spots and worst of all, skin cancer.

Hair Mask with Banana an Avocado

Banana and Avocado Mask

Here is the very first and awesome recipe. This will restore your super over dried hair 

Ingredients:

• 1 ripe banana
• 1 ripe avocado
• 1 tbsp of wheatgerm oil (I said to Stephanie, “Wheatgerm oil? Who has wheatgerm oil hanging around the house?” and she looked at me as if was the only person she knew who doesn’t use wheatgerm oil on a regular basis). You can substitute olive oil if you, like me, don’t have wheatgerm oil or time to run to your health food store for some.
• A few drops of essential oils, such as lavender, rose, sweet orange, or jasmine. Stephanie uses essential oils to mask the smell of the wheatgerm oil.

Preparation:

Mash all of the ingredients in a bowl or better yet, use a blender.Shampoo hair, comb it out and towel-dry.Apply mask to hair, including the scalp if you want. Or you can just deep condition the ends.

Put hair in a shower cap or wrap it in Saran Wrap and let it sit for about 15 minutes, longer if you prefer.

Rinse mask out in the shower. Place a heavy duty paper towel over the drain to catch the avocado and banana bits.

Olive Oil Hair Mask

Olive oil hair mask!

Olive oil is very beneficial for hair growth and conditioning of hair. Take 5 tablespoons of olive oil and 2 eggs. Mix olive oil and eggs and apply it thoroughly to your hair. Wrap your hair withshower cap and allow it to set for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, rinse your hair thoroughly with water.

You can also use honey along with olive oil to get much effective results. Take 2 tablespoons of honey and 3 tablespoons of olive oil.

Mix both honey and olive oil well and then apply the mixture thoroughly to your hair. Cover your hair with a shower cap or plastic wrap. Allow it to set for 15 minutes. Rinse your hair well with shampoo and water.

Moisturizing Face Mask

• Prepare a moisturizing face mask for dry skin by mashing half a banana with the help of a fork and mixing two tablespoons of sour cream and one tablespoon of honey in it. Apply this recipe generously on your skin. After 10-15 minutes, wash it of with lukewarm water.
• Scoop out the pulp of a ripe avocado in a bowl and mash it with a spoon or fork. Next, add a quarter cup of sour cream in it.Smear this skin-care recipe liberally on your face and neck. Finally, rinse it off after 10 minutes to prevent ageing of skin.

•  Blend about ten blueberries in a blender along with a teaspoon of sour cream. Smear the resultant paste on your face and neck.Wash it off after 15-20 minutes with warm water and follow up with a moisturizer. Follow this procedure regularly to tone up your skin.

Avocado Mask

Here is an avocado mask recipe that you will love. This mask is inexpensive and easy to make , all you need is two items….avocado an honey, this combination is super moisturizing and it helps especially super dry skin.

Ingredients:

• ½ very ripe, soft avocado
• ¼ cup honey

Preparation:

Mash the avocado in a bowl, then stir in honey.
Apply to skin and leave for 10 minutes.
Rinse face with a cool washcloth.

Lifting Eye Cream

I have to say that I was very impressed with the product. I never heard of it before and  I don’t usually get any eye care products mostly because I don’t feel the need to use them.  As courtesy of #OWNiFabbo, I received a sample of the eye lifting cream.

Purpose of the product is to :

1. Boost collagen for FIRMER and fuller- looking skin 
2. Enhance cell turnover for a more EVEN SKIN TONE
3. Improve skin’s moisture barrier for softer and SMOOTHER skin.

According to OWN statistics in an 8 week period, after using the eye lifting cream  20% of users had firmer skin, 31% of users had an evenness in skin tone  and 33% of people had improvement in skin softness.  In an 12 Week Period 29% saw an improvement in skin firmness, 41 % saw an improvement in evenness of the skin tone, and 50% saw a major improvement in skin softness.

My Experience with the Lifting Eye Cream

I really loved the product, I have used it for about a week, I am still using it because I really believe in what it does.

Within the first few days I noticed that my skin tone was more even around the eyes, and it was also much, much softer. However, in a weeks time I did not see any improvement in firmness.  But, keep in mind that the product results are usually in full effect after 8 weeks, so I am sure if I use it for 7 more weeks I will see a huge improvement in skin firmness.

I am so glad I came across this product,  and I highly recommend it to all my readers. I will never recommend something I do not believe in.

My thoughts on the product ….

Ever since I tried OWN products, I fell in love with them. It is an outstanding product, not just the night cream but the entire anti-aging selection.  The texture is so soft, silky, and so easy to apply . I have found that the night cream does not leave my skin oily, but…it makes it smooth and touchable just like a baby’s skin. It absorbs and penetrates  into the skin quickly.

As I mentioned previously, I never, ever, ever, ever, apply any sort of lotions or moisturizers to my skin at night before going to sleep and calling it a day. I always thought that it was unnecessary, why would I moisturize my skin if I am going to lay my head on the pillow toss and turn all night?…..a waste of product?   Absolutely not.

After trying OWN, I have reconsidered the idea of using night cream, I have realized the benefits that come with it. I am in love with the night cream, will never stop using it. If It Isn’t Love..Then…I Don’t Know What It Is

I’s amazing that no matter what product I review, I always find something that needs improvement, whether it’s the packaging, the look of the product, the smell, etc..  I CAN NOT find one bad thing about this product or any OWN products for that matter. I love how the product comes in this cute bottle, you can squeeze the top of the lid and measure exactly how much of the concentrate liquid you need. Love it…. The liquid itself is greasy but…. as soon as I applied it to my clean face, it wasn’t really that oily, it penetrated the skin rather quickly. After a few minutes, there was nothing but smoothness, and a very happy girl …”ME”.  The product accomplishes exactly what it was made to do … skin looks healthy, smooth, young, and just G-o-r-g-e-o-u-s.

Love the product, love all OWN’s Skin Health Products, Couldn’t be happier with the results.

My experience with Hydroxatone!

Where shall I begin?

First, I am not going to sit here and tell you guys that this highly rated product got rid of wrinkles or fine lines….because I do not have wrinkles or fine lines to begin with.  I cannot tell you  , my dear readers, that it actually does what is is supposed to do in this aspect…SORRY.

What I CAN tell you, is that it does improve moisture, and it’ s a pleasant cream to apply in the morning and at night. And in Fact it does make the skin supper soft….

OKAY..DO YOU WANT HONESTY?

I am not too impressed with it, maybe it’s because I don’t have wrinkles and was not able to notice any results, or maybe it just doesn’t work for me, personally.  This product may work very well for people that actually have wrinkles, so if you do,  I absolutely recommend you trying it.

Personally speaking, I will not buy this product, not only because I don’t need it , but also because it’s a bit on the expensive side …$92.00 …. Some of you might find it worth spending the money if you have fine lines…so go ahead and try it out, the website does offer a trial and monthly payments… if you want to try it …GO FOR IT…
